JLL announced the formation of the retail solutions group, a newly integrated team within JLL’s project and development services business to bring together design, architecture and project management capabilities throughout the entire brand lifecycle. Additionally, JLL tapped industry leader Mark Bateman as executive managing director to lead the strategic initiative and hired Kevin Songer as managing director of architecture for the group.

The Illinois Quantum and Microelectronics Park (IQMP) announced Dr. Philip Makotyn as its new Deputy Chief Technology Officer, a senior leadership role focused on shaping the park’s technical strategy and growth. After nearly 20 years working in Colorado’s quantum ecosystem, Dr. Makotyn will help guide the IQMP’s technical direction as it grows to support the development and commercialization of quantum technology and microelectronics.

Urban Innovations announced its property at 311 W Huron, a 15-story, 153,000-square-foot newly developed office building in Chicago’s River North neighborhood, has achieved Two Green Globes certification for new construction through the Green Building Initiative. Developed by Urban Innovations, designed by NORR, and constructed by ARCO/Murray, the certification recognizes the building’s sustainability and energy efficiency.

The Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) recently hosted its 4th Annual Homeownership Forum at the David Rubenstein Forum at the University of Chicago, drawing more than 200 attendees for a day centered on homeownership.  The event brought together current and prospective CHA homeowners who attended presentations and panel discussions. Through its public housing and voucher programs, CHA serves 135,000 people in 65,000 households across all 77 of Chicago’s community areas.

Stream Realty Partners has been selected by Menashe Properties to provide property management services at 230 W. Monroe, a 29-story office tower totaling 625,000 square feet in Chicago’s West Loop. The assignment builds on Stream’s existing relationship with the property, which began three years ago when the firm was awarded the leasing assignment. Leader of Property Management & Partner Victoria Knudson will lead property management services, while Stream Managing Director Mark Bâby and Executive Vice President Ben Cleveland will continue to oversee leasing efforts on behalf of ownership.

Lee & Associates negotiated a 42,169-square-foot lease renewal at 1325 Remington Boulevard in Bolingbrook, Illinois. Lee & Associates represented both the landlord and the tenant. The landlord, Pritzker Realty Group, was represented by principal Jeff Galante, SIOR and the tenant, Cargowill, an e-commerce logistics company, was represented by principal Chris Nelson.
