Dan Heberle, a banking executive with more than 30 years of industry experience, has been promoted to President of KeyBank Real Estate Capital. He succeeds Angela Mago who has led the business since 2014 and was recently appointed to KeyCorp’s Chief Human Resources Officer. Heberle reports to Randy Paine, President of Key Institutional Bank, and is responsible for Key’s real estate finance, community development and investment businesses, leading a team of more than 900 professionals.

Brian Lozell, vice president at Associa Chicagoland, was elected to serve on the board of the Apartment Building Owners and Managers Association (ABOMA) of Illinois. With close to 25 years of experience in community management, Lozell has built a strong reputation for serving clients and engaging with industry colleagues to support professionalism in community management.

CREC Real Estate, LLC, a private equity real estate investment firm, has welcomed Kurt Gatterdam to the firm as controller. He will oversee all accounting, including cash, investment and risk management, for CREC and its affiliate property management company, Fourth Street Residential. Gatterdam brings over 20 years of finance experience at both privately and publicly held organizations. Prior to CREC, he served as Chief Financial Officer at NAI Ohio Equities, and Vice President of Finance for Fillmore Capital Partners.

Senior Directors Rasto Gallo and Mike Klaskin have joined JLL’s national affordable housing investment sales advisory team with a focus on the Midwest. Based in the Chicago office, they will report to Senior Managing Directors Danny Kauffman and Jaime Fink, who co-lead the JLL Capital Markets’ Chicago office, as well as Senior Managing Director Doug Childers, who serves as the affordable housing investment sales advisory group leader.

Friedman Real Estate’s Jordan Friedman and Todd Hawley recently sold the 58,548 square foot Spectrum Office Centre located at 32000 Northwestern Highway in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Friedman represented both the seller and purchaser in the transaction.
