  • Industry veteran Michael Cannon has joined Bradford Allen, a national full-service real estate firm, as senior managing director of development, overseeing adaptive reuse, renovation and new construction of residential and commercial real estate. Before joining Bradford Allen, Cannon was a VP with Sterling Bay, where he managed the life science, office and multifamily developments. Cannon will manage design, construction and consulting teams for new construction and adaptive reuse projects in Illinois, Indiana, Florida and Tennessee. Before Sterling Bay, Cannon served as senior development manager with Chicago-based Golub & Company.
  • Cawley Commercial Real Estate, a Chicagoland commercial real estate firm, has made several team member promotions, and awarded a scholarship. The executive promotions and scholarship recipient include:
    • Dustin Albers – promoted from senior associate to vice president, Albers specializes in Industrial leasing and sales, with submarket expertise in the O’Hare submarket. He is a member of the O’Hare industrial team and a recipient of multiple industry awards for leasing deals and industrial redevelopment projects.
    • Justin Harris – promoted from senior associate to vice president, Harris focuses on leasing and asset dispositions of office, medical, and flex. He provides in-depth submarket knowledge as a member of the O’Hare and Northwest office team.
    • Brayden Schiff – recipient of the 2024 Cawley Emerging Leader Scholarship, Schiff began his career at Cawley as an intern advancing to Associate in 2021. He is a member of Cawley’s urban-infill team, specializing in redevelopment, adaptive reuse, and leasing, focused within the urban submarket of Chicago’s neighborhoods.
    • CBRE announced that Blake Hastings has rejoined the firm’s Minneapolis office as EVP. He will partner with Tad Jellison and John Lorence and specialize in advising local, national and international companies on their real estate strategies. Hastings served as managing director for CBRE Minneapolis from 2013-2018, developing and implementing strategic direction and day-to-day leadership for nearly 250 people. Most recently, he served as president for Twin Cities-based Oppidan, where he oversaw the business operations and strategic planning for its three offices.
    • Trilogy Real Estate Group, a Chicago-based real estate investment and property management firm, announced that Margo Steahly has joined the company as SVP of sales operations and due diligence. Steahly will be responsible for the sales efforts of Trilogy’s private placement offerings. Prior to Trilogy, Steahly worked at Capital Square, including as EVP of due diligence, where she interacted with due diligence officers and shared information with the broker-dealer and RIA communities to support raising funds for DST properties, opportunity zone funds and a REIT.
    • Brown Gibbons Lang & Company (BGL) announced the sale of Arctic Industries and Store It Cold, a portfolio company of Stoic Holdings, to Kinzie Capital Partners LP, a private equity firm based in Chicago. BGL’s Industrials and Engineered Equipment team served as the exclusive financial advisor to Arctic Industries and Store It Cold in the transaction. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
    • Lee & Associates has closed a pair of industrial lease renewal transactions in DuPage County totaling 112,917 square feet. Jeff Janda, SIOR and Mike Plumb, Principals at Lee & Associates’ Illinois office, represented tenant Atlas Wire’s renewal of 54,690 square feet at 1601 Glenlake Avenue, Itasca. The building is owned by Prologis, who was self-represented. The building is owned by Prologis, who was self-represented. Janda also represented landlord DRA Advisors on a renewal of 58,227 square feet at 951-953 Larch Avenue in Elmhurst. Kevin Segerson of CBRE represented the tenant, Closet Works.
