Chicago Data Center Sold for $315M
Tampa-based Carter Validus Mission Critical REIT, Inc. divested a 250,000-square-foot data center located on roughly 19 acres of land in Chicago’s Northlake area to an affiliate of Digital Realty Trust, LP for $315 million. The aggregate net book value of the Chicago Data Center was approximately $227.33 million.
Michael Seton says, “we believe [the price achieved], represents a significant gain from our initial off-market purchase made in 2014.”
Moelis & Company LLC acted as lead financial advisor to the seller, along with KeyBanc Capital Markets Inc. and SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, Inc. serving as co-advisors. Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP was legal counsel to the company.
