Chicago Commercial Real Estate Awards Dinner Raises $1M for Charity

Nearly 1,600 of Chicago’s commercial real estate professionals recently gathered to celebrate the 37th Annual Chicago Commercial Real Estate Awards and support the Greater Chicago Food Depository. The evening raised $1.1 million to help provide food for those in need.

The event recognizes excellence in development, design, brokerage, construction and innovation, and tthe annual awards dinner is the Food Depository’s largest fundraiser of the year. Since the partnership began in 1989, the real estate industry has helped raise millions of dollars to support the fight against hunger.

“The faithful support of Chicago’s commercial real estate community has helped ensure that our neighbors across Chicago and Cook County continue to have access to healthy, nutritious food in these times of unprecedented need,” said Kate Maehr, Food Depository Executive Director and CEO. “This generosity is critical and, in the face of ongoing challenges, helps our neighbors thrive.”
