JLL Capital Markets has arranged a $30.3 million refinancing of Nantucket Creek, a 172-unit, garden style, 55+ apartment complex in Chatsworth, CA. JLL worked on behalf of the the borrower, Universe Holdings to secure the 10-year fixed rate loan through Freddie Mac.

The refinance will be serviced by JLL Real Estate Capital, LLC, and proceeds from the loan provided a return of equity to Universe’s balance sheet. “The attractive financing from JLL allows us to optimize our investment as well as provide us with a significant amount of fresh capital to pursue future acquisitions,” said Universe Holdings’ Henry Manoucheri in a news release.

Located at 9225 Topanga Canyon Rd., Nantucket Creek is comprised of one- and two-bedroom units which feature hardwood floors, large closets and private balconies. The community amenities include a clubhouse, billiards room and walking trails and has easy access to local retail and dining as well as the West Hills Hospital and Medical Center.
