Charter School Signs Long-Term Lease in Williamsburg

Bedford Stuyvesant New Beginnings Charter School (BSNBCS) has secured a 35-year lease for its new high school in a luxury condo building at 217 North 10th Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

Developed by Largo Development and completed in 2022, the school will occupy the commercial portion of the building, totaling 51,498 square feet across three levels. With expanded charter authorization, BSNBCS plans to open before the Fall 2024 semester, offering continued growth opportunities for its students. Designed by architect Morris Adjmi, the six-story building also houses 31 residential units.

Josh Berger of Norman Bobrow & Company represented the school, while Jason Frazier, Jesse de la Rama, Jeremy Scholder, Chris Betting and Dean Rosenzweig of CBRE represented Largo Development. “The ceiling heights on the ground floor, the private entrance, and private outdoor space were crucial factors in the school’s decision to make 217 North 10th Street its home for the foreseeable future,” said Berger.
