Charlotte’s Railyard Office Building Trades for $201M
CBRE has brokered the $201 million sale of Railyard, a 296,392-square-foot office building in Charlotte’s South End submarket. The buyer was publicly-traded REIT Cousins Properties.
Located in the heart of Charlotte’s South End, the property is currently 97% occupied with a tenant roster that consists of Allstate, Ernst & Young, WeWork and Parsons Engineering. The building’s contemporary architectural design ties to Charlotte’s rail history. The RailYard is located in a transit-oriented area with nearby access to Charlotte’s community light rail.
Patrick Gildea, Matt Smith, Will Yowell, Grayson Hawkins and Brandon McMenomy of CBRE represented the seller, Beacon Partners in the transaction. The Charlotte-based firm developed the Railyard building starting in 2017 and completed the project in 2019.
