The Keith Corp. is planning to build a 244,000-square-foot industrial building in Mebane. The site is off Interstate 40-85 on Oakwood Road. The vacant forested land consists of 22 acres between Tanger Outlets Mebane and the Armacell facility.

The Charlotte Business Journal reports the developer has not secured a tenant in advance. Colliers has the property listed. It says the property will be ready in the third quarter of 2025. It’s zoned for heavy manufacturing. The plan for the building received approval from Mebane’s Technical Review Committee.

Keith Corp. has developed 55 million square feet of real estate valued at over $5.8 billion in 41 states and five countries. In partnership with IDM Ventures, the company developed South Point Commerce Center, a 185-acre industrial park in High Point. The site created room for a building exceeding 600,000 square feet.
