Champion Buys Land Parcel, Will Develop UW Student Housing
Champion Real Estate Company has acquired .33 acres of land near University of Washington in Seattle in a $7 million dollar transaction. The firm has also obtained approvals for the development on the site of Victory at the U, a 110-unit, 516-bed student housing community.
“Upon entering escrow in late 2019, we started to obtain entitlements to develop Victory at the U,” said Garrett Champion, Executive Vice President with Champion Real Estate Company. “We will continue to make strategic student housing acquisitions at name brand universities with inherent demand, including looking at new markets like Seattle.”
Victory at the U will feature vinyl plank flooring, quartz countertops and modern fixtures. Community amenities will include a study, fitness and rec center as well as a community rooftop deck. All bedrooms will be fully furnished and include TV and Sonos soundbars.
Dylan Simon of Kidder Mathews represented Champion and the seller.
