CHA Partners Breaks Ground on Third Phase of Bloomfield Redevelopment

CHA Partners has broken ground on The Royal at Bloomfield Station, a 372,000-square-foot, ground-up, mixed-use redevelopment project in Bloomfield, NJ, approximately 23 miles west of New York City. Taking its name from the movie palace that once occupied one of the seven parcels comprising the site, the Royal is a key component of the Bloomfield Center Master Redevelopment Plan, a multi-phase plan to transform Bloomfield’s downtown core.

The new mixed-use building will consist of 210 residential rental apartments, 14 two-story brownstone units for purchase, approximately 7,000 square feet of prime restaurant/retail space and a municipally owned parking garage.

The Royal project is Phase III of CHA’s three-phase redevelopment efforts in Bloomfield. Phase I was its development and construction of Bloomfield Station, Bloomfield’s first redevelopment project in more than 30 years, while Phase II was its development and construction of Six Points at Bloomfield Station, which just reached full occupancy.
