Centurion Inks $130.8M Loan for Fort Lauderdale MOB

Centurion Foundation, a company that says it finances and develops properties for non-profits, secured a $130.8 million construction loan for a Fort Lauderdale medical office building. UMB Bank provided the leasehold mortgage via a tax-exempt bond. The South Florida Business Journal reports the borrower has a lease with Broward Health for the 1.8-acre site at 1611 S. Andrews Ave. The medical office project is next to Broward Health Medical Center.

The medical office building will total 188,000 square feet in eight stories, including 129 exam rooms, with the ability to expand to 237. The specialties covered there will include cardiovascular services, pulmonology, primary care, gastroenterology, neuroscience, and women’s services.

Broward Health hopes to complete the medical office in 2027. It was designed by the Beck Group along with DMZ Architects.
