Central OR 778-Acre Development Site Offers Critical Use Options
Cushman & Wakefield has been retained as exclusive adviser by Oregon Department of State Lands to sell a 778-acre development site in Redmond, OR. The property is considered among the largest industrial land sites currently available for sale in the entire state.
The property is visible along Highway 97 on the south edge of Redmond in Deschutes County. While the site is divisible to a minimum lot size of 50 acres, the minimum size for the first sale is 200 acres.
The Cushman & Wakefield sales team is led by Matt Johnson, Mark Carnese and Aaron Watt of the firm’s Portland office.
“There is a scarcity of large lot industrial land sites for development in the Central Oregon area as well statewide, and this site presents prime opportunity/opportunities to construct and bring a range of critical and supportive commercial uses to a growing and strategic Oregon location—all within a day’s drive of many West Coast markets and ports,” said Carnese. “Initially, we are ideally seeking larger users in the range of 200 to 300 acres that would encourage manufacturing/R&D uses for traded goods industries that sell product outside of Oregon.”
Currently undeveloped and unentitled, the property is located in a Large Lot Industrial Zone that will allow for flexible traded sector industries including manufacturing, research and development, and higher education uses. According to the Oregon Department of State Lands, the sale will contribute to the Common School Fund, which sends tens of millions of dollars to public schools every year.
