CenterPoint Claims Another East Bay Asset

Oak Brook, IL-based CenterPoint Properties acquired a 130,500-square-foot industrial building in Oakland for an undisclosed amount. Situated on a roughly 6.8-acre parcel, 5901 San Leandro St. is a rail-served industrial warehouse with ample yard area near the Port of Oakland.

The property provides active rail service with 10 rail doors, 28 dock-high loading positions, six grade level loading doors, a fully-fenced and secured perimeter, and ample paved yard area ideal for truck/trailer parking and staging.

Colliers International’s Justin Smutko, Mark Maguire, SIOR, and Nick Mascheroni represented both the buyer and seller.

Smutko says, “The appetite for well-located functional industrial assets with relatively low-coverage in premier infill markets such as the 880 Corridor remains at an all-time high.”

The purchase of 5901 San Leandro St. represents the fourth East Bay acquisition for CenterPoint over the past 10 months.

Connect Industrial is coming up on November 19th in Houston. You can get more details and register to attend on this link.
