Connect Industrial is coming up on July 11 in Chicago. Here’s a link for more information about the conference and to register.

Industrial owner/developer CenterPoint Properties has named Elena Daniel as VP ESG & corporate affairs. In the newly-created role, she will oversee all environmental, social and governance (ESG) and corporate affairs matters.

As part of her responsibilities, Daniel will administer the Responsible Contractor Program on union and labor participation in development and construction projects. Daniel will also lead CenterPoint’s energy optimization, “green” and corporate affairs initiatives.

CenterPoint CEO Bob Chapman noted that Daniel comes to the company with “a proven track record of success in leading multi-faceted regional governance, reputation management and implementing integrated initiatives.”

Before joining CenterPoint, Daniel served as VP, director of media and analytics at Lendlease. She has more than 16 years’ corporate affairs-related experience in the development and construction industry, with an expertise in regional governance, business continuity and public relations.
