Petco inked a deal for 13,108 square feet of anchor space in Center of the Hills, a 153,479-square-foot community retail center at 7010 W. SH 71 in Austin, TX. The pet product superstore is leasing the space as a new location. Nash Frisbie and Britt Morrison with Weitzman handled negotiations for owner Kimco Realty as project leasing agents for Center of the Hills. Roger Anderson with CBRE represented Petco.

Petco joins a line-up that includes H-E-B, Tuesday Morning, Firestone, Mattress Firm, Advance Auto Parts and Cricket Wireless. Center of the Hills is in Austin’s Oak Hill neighborhood in the southwest metro.

The financial details of the deal were not available. According to the website, the asking rate is $5.54 per square foot, per year, triple net.
