Centennial Receives Approval on Santa Ana’s MainPlace Mall Redev
Dallas-based Centennial received city council approval on a proposed multi-phase redevelopment plan for MainPlace Mall, a three-story super-regional shopping center in Santa Ana, CA. Significant changes are planned for the interior space that will include more than 225 stores, restaurants and entertainment offerings.
A mix of uses will be integrated into the site at 2800 N. Main St., including a new 175+-room hotel, 1,900 luxury apartments, as well as creative and medical offices. Also planned are a multi-level, 40,000-square-foot food emporium, large activated green space, makers’ market featuring locally-crafted and curated goods, and a more than 90,000-square-foot family entertainment anchor.
Centennial’s Steven Levin says, “This redevelopment is not just a real estate transaction to us. We’re heavily invested in this both financially and creatively, and we’re in it for the long haul to develop an innovative and meaningful space people will naturally gravitate to for new and repeat experiences.”
Construction is expected to begin in 2020.
