Celina Chosen as Site for New Medical Center
The Texas Scottish Rite Hospital has purchased more than 70 acres on the west side of Celina, near the intersection of Dallas Parkway and Punk Carter Parkway.
The property is part of a parcel of Celina Station, located just west of the 1,100 acre Light Farms community, which includes thousands of new homes.
The suburbs north of Dallas have seen frenzied growth, and the medical industry is trying to keep up. Scottish Rite already secured a 40 acre parcel on the Frisco Turnpike. Hospital group Baylor, Scott and White just received rezoning approval for a new medical campus in Frisco.
Fort Worth-based Cook Children’s Health System is building a 23-acre complex in neighboring Prosper. Prosper will also be the home for Dallas-based Children’s Health, who purchased 72 acres. Rex Glendenning from REX Realty brokered the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital land deal.
