Celestica Investing $300M in Richardson Expansion

Celestica will renew its lease of two existing buildings and add a new lease for a 343,000-square-foot building currently under construction, totaling approximately 1 million square feet that Celestica will occupy through 2036. Celestica will make an estimated $300 million capital investment over the next two years to support tenant improvements and the addition of new equipment across the campus.

Celestica relocated to Richardson in 2022. The expansion is expected to retain nearly 400 existing jobs and create nearly 2,300 new permanent positions over the next two years.

To support the expansion, the City of Richardson has approved a $3 million tenant improvement grant, structured around Celestica’s commitments to long-term occupancy, capital investment plans, and job creation.

Richardson offers incentives to entities that commit to significant capital investments, noteworthy job retention or creation or long-term lease agreements.
