CBRE to Broker Lease for Converted Newark Life Science Facility

The Newark Science Center, a life science conversion of a two-story, 50,000-square-foot R&D building in Newark, CA will be delivered in late 2022 and CBRE has announced it will be the leasing agent. Buchanan Street Partners is managing the $20 million conversion after receiving permits from the City of Newark.

โ€œThe highly skilled talent pool in the Bay Area has attributed to the growth of life sciences over the last few years. We are seeing more demand from life sciences tenants and Newark has available space that provides potential occupants with greater flexibility finding affordable lab and office space,โ€ said Damon Schor, part of the CBRE leasing team that includes Mark Christierson and Chip Sutherland.

The conversion of the Newark Science Center will include a two-story lobby, outdoor seating area, renovated restroom core with showers, ventilation and sterilization rooms and additional lab benches and fume hoods.
