CBRE Represents iHerb in 257K-SF Industrial Lease in Elgin, IL

California-based iHerb.com signed a 257,344-square-foot lease at 2640 Auto Mall Dr. in Elgin, IL. The supplier of natural products and supplements plans to open its first distribution center in Illinois, within Zilber Industrial I.

The company currently operates distribution and fulfillment centers in California, Kentucky and Pennsylvania, as well as offices located in Pasadena, CA., Irvine, CA and Riverside, CA in the near term.

CBRE’s Jack Brennan and John Hamilton represented the tenant. JLL’s Dominc Carbonari and Frank Griffin represented the owners, Zilber Property Group.

“The Chicago area made perfect sense for iHerb’s next distribution and fulfillment location, as the firm continues to rapidly expand its customer base,” said CBRE’s Brennan, noting the property offers immediate access to I-90 and offers one-day delivery to more than 85 million people, which represents roughly 27% of the U.S. population.
