CBRE Partners with Rebuilding Together on Ada S. McKinley Renovations
CBRE will partner with national community revitalization nonprofit Rebuilding Together to renovate one of Ada S. McKinley’s program locations in Chicago during the CBRE Women’s Networking Forum. More than 200 CBRE Women’s Network members and Chicago-area CBRE employees are working alongside the local Rebuilding Together affiliate, Rebuilding Together Metro Chicago, on upgrades to the human services organization’s South Side location at 1112 E. 87th St.
Volunteer projects at the facility will include patching and painting walls, replacing windows, cleaning and organizing a storage area, replacing office furniture, providing carpentry and plumbing repairs and painting two murals. One of more than 75 Ada S. McKinley locations, the South Side facility provides job readiness and community day services to area residents with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
“This is one of our largest Shelter Program projects,” said Kathleen Thompson, director of the CBRE Foundation, the company’s philanthropy program.
