CBRE Names New Leader for Silicon Valley
Steffen Kammerer has joined CBRE as senior managing director, leading its Silicon Valley office. He will oversee CBRE’s Advisory business in Silicon Valley, which includes leasing, sales, debt and structured finance, valuation and property management.
Kammerer will replace Mark Schmidt, who has led CBRE’s Silicon Valley office for 22 years. Schmidt will retire from his management position at the end of 2023 and will continue in brokerage at CBRE as vice chairman in the firm’s San Jose office.
Most recently, Kammerer served as regional managing director of the San Francisco Bay Area at Colliers, overseeing brokerage services for its San Francisco, Mid-Peninsula and Silicon Valley offices. Prior to Colliers, he spent more than a decade in tenant representation at JLL and led its national technology practice group.
