CBRE Fund Acquires 143K SF FedEx Facility
A fund sponsored by CBRE Global Investors has acquired a single-tenant distribution facility located at 945 S. Sunnyside Ave. in San Bernardino, CA for an undisclosed amount. The 143,327-square-foot building is a last-mile facility occupied by FedEx.
The facility, Gateway South Building 5, features 32-foot clear heights, 48 by 60-foot column spacing, LED lighting, ESFR sprinkler systems and is served by two airports, Ontario International and San Bernardino International, with the latter located just two miles from the site.
Gardner Ellner, senior director of commercial acquisitions for CBRE Global Investors, said in a statement, “California’s Inland Empire is a strong U.S. industrial market where we expect to see more consumer demand for shorter delivery times. With its state-of-the-art features, we expect that Gateway South Building 5 is well-equipped to meet those demands.”
CBRE’s Darla Longo, Barbara Perrier, Rebecca Perlmutter and Brett Hartzell represented the seller.
