CBRE Extends Lease at MetLife Building with New Management Agreement
Irvine Company Office Properties and CBRE have solidified their partnership at 200 Park Avenue with a lease extension and a new management agreement extending into 2037. CBRE, already a long-term tenant, will now also serve as its exclusive leasing agent and property manager, succeeding Tishman Speyer.
Mary Ann Tighe and Howard Fiddle will spearhead the leasing team, Tom Lloyd and Pia Silvestri will oversee property management, and Joe Mancuso and Ed Guiltinan of CBRE Investment Management will oversee asset management. Irvine Company has invested $200 million to enhance the building’s appeal; the revitalization completed last year includes a redesigned lobby, upgraded dining options, a wellness center, and outdoor amenities.
“We have been proud to call 200 Park Avenue home for 36 years and we’re thrilled to now be entrusted to lease and manage the iconic building and work alongside Irvine Company to create the next chapter of the building’s remarkable history,” said Matt Van Buren, CBRE’s president, Advisory Services, New York Tri-State.
