CBRE Elevates Chris Riley to Lead US Industrial, Logistics Capital Markets

CBRE has promoted Chris Riley to president of capital markets for industrial and logistics in the US. He will work out of the company’s Atlanta office.

The CBRE veteran brings nearly 35 years of industrial and logistics real estate experience to the role, most recently as a vice chairman. He has been involved in engagements of more than 800 million square feet of industrial properties worth more than $50 billion.

Riley will lead a team of more than 100 professionals in the US, including CBRE national partners who specialize in the sale, finance and recapitalization of industrial and logistics properties. This entity has grown its sales volume since formation from $2.5 billion in 2010 to $32 billion in 2021.

“Chris knows what’s around the corner; whether that’s investor demands, where new and evolving distribution hubs are, or the evolving needs of industrial users,” said Chris Ludeman, global president of capital markets for CBRE.

She supported two membership-elected presidents who were commercial real estate practitioners, and managed the communications initiatives of the organization’s commercial special interest group. When not following the latest commercial real estate news, Lisa is zeroed in on her charismatic off-the-track thoroughbred as she makes the transition from an utterly failed racehorse to a lovely show hunter.
