CBRE, Cortland and SRS Make Major Moves

  • SRS Real Estate Partners announced that Garrett Colburn has been named President. He will be responsible for the company’s continued national growth, including office productivity and culture. He will also serve on SRS’ Executive Committee, the group responsible for setting the firm’s overall strategy throughout the U.S. and globally.
  • CoworkingCafe’s Latest DFW Report saw a 5% increase in the supply of coworking spaces, replacing Manhattan (264) in the second spot nationally and closing the gap on LA (279). This growth translated to 12 more coworking spaces added in the span of three months. In terms of total square footage, the DFW remained 5th nationwide with 5.37 million square feet, a 5% increase compared to Q1 2024.
  • Coldwell Banker Commercial Rio Grande Valley has been selected by Houston-based Levcor, Inc. as the exclusive leasing agent for Pharr Town Center, a retail, dining and entertainment complex spanning 470,000 square feet on 34 acres. The Shopping Center is located at 500 N. Jackson Road in Pharr, Texas. Michael Pacheco and Daniel Galvan of Coldwell Banker Commercial Rio Grande Valley are the leasing agents for the property.
  • Cortland added to its Houston portfolio with the acquisition of Villas River Oaks, a 288-unit apartment community in the heart of the historic River Oaks neighborhood. Cortland purchased the property from Heitman and has rebranded the suburban Harris County, Class-A community Cortland River Oaks.  
  • Fidelis and Transwestern have started construction at Berry Creek Business Park, a three-building, Class A industrial park totaling 520,571 square feet in Georgetown, Texas. Carter Thurmond and Nash Frisbie of Transwestern Real Estate Services are leasing the project on behalf of Fidelis.
  • Adolfson & Peterson Construction completed construction on the five-story, 158,250-square-foot Potter County District Courts Building in Amarillo, Texas. Designed by HOK Group Inc., the new courthouse includes courtrooms, a jury assembly, county offices, courtroom in-custody holding and records storage. Construction for the Potter County District Courts Building kicked off in March 2021.
