CBRE, Compass Tapped to Market DC’s Historic Embassy Row Properties

CBRE and Compass have been retained to market two landmark properties at 2234 and 2232 Massachusetts Avenue NW on D.C.’s Embassy Row. CBRE is leading the sale of 2234 Massachusetts Avenue NW, a Beaux-Arts office building formerly serving as the Irish Embassy. Compass has partnered with CBRE to co-market 2232 Massachusetts Avenue NW, a neighboring residence.

CBRE’s Manny Fitzgerald is overseeing the sale and marketing of 2234 Massachusetts Avenue NW, while Compass’s Hans Wydler is leading efforts for 2232 Massachusetts Avenue NW. Located at the corner of Sheridan Circle, 2234 Massachusetts Avenue NW was designed in 1908 by William Penn Cresson, and the semi-detached limestone property spans five levels and features dual frontage.

Next door, 2232 Massachusetts Avenue NW is a four-level residence built in 1900. It offers seven bedrooms, formal entertaining spaces, a gourmet kitchen, and private outdoor areas with a garage and off-street parking.
