CBRE Closes in on Salesforce Tower Space
Los Angeles-based CBRE Group Inc. is reportedly in talks to take roughly 42,000 square feet of space at the $1-billion, 1.4-million-square-foot Salesforce Tower on Mission Street in San Francisco. The under-construction, 61-story building would be about 63 percent leased, if the transaction is consummated.
Sources close to the pending deal say the move would consolidate CBRE’s space at 101 California and 350 Sansome. Neither Salesforce Tower’s lead developer, Boston Properties, nor its minority partner, Hines, commented. A CBRE spokesperson declined, as well.
CBRE has eight offices in the Bay Area, more than 300 professionals in the City, and is the largest full-service real estate services provider in the region. Other tenants signed at Salesforce Tower, which is slated to be completed in April 2017, include Bain & Co., Vy Capital, and Salesforce.com.
