CBRE Arranges Old Navy Lease at South Side Power Center

CBRE’s Chicago office recently represented the ownership of Marshfield Plaza in a new lease to Old Navy. The Gap Inc. brand signed on for 11,627 square feet, joining Target (pictured), Burlington Coat Factory, Marshall’s, LA Fitness, Petco and Jewel-Osco at the 452,935-square-foot power center on the city’s South Side.

“The high visibility of this retail development was very attractive to Old Navy,” said CBRE’s Joe Parrott, who negotiated on behalf of the center’s owner, a global real estate investment manager. “This lease is a win-win for the area and the retailer, as it will help assure the long-term health and viability of the largest shopping center in this neighborhood.”

When Marshfield Plaza opened in 2010, it was regarded as a milestone in the revitalization of the South Side. It was developed in a public-private partnership with Los Angeles-based Primestor Development.
