CBRE has named Susan Bands as managing director for the company’s advisory business in the South Florida region.

Together with South FL senior managing director Josh Bank and Fort Lauderdale managing director David Bateman, Bands will support the company’s day-to-day business operations, sales management, business development growth strategies and recruiting activities across all business segments for its four South FL-area offices.

Bands was with Marcus and Millichap for the past 18 years, most recently serving as the regional manager for its Manhattan, NY; Westchester, NY; and New Haven, CT, offices, where she was responsible for leading their business operations. Additionally, she launched their internal women’s network, newsletter and mentorship program.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Bands worked with Forest City Ratner Companies as director of sales and marketing for its New York hotel developments, and with Grubb & Ellis as associate managing director of Investment Sales.
