CBRE has added Sam Lawhead to its Portland office as a first vice president with its multifamily investment team. Lawhead joins the firm’s Pacific Northwest multifamily investment team, working alongside Matt Dodd, Josh McDonald, and Joe Nydahl.

Lawhead brings more than 15 years of experience in multifamily investment sales, recapitalizations, and institutional advisory services. He most recently served as managing director with Newmark’s Pacific Northwest Capital Markets team, where he facilitated more than $2.7 billion in transactions totaling over 10,000 units. His background also includes roles in acquisitions and property management.

“Sam is a strong addition to our Portland office and the Pacific Northwest multifamily team,” said Jason Green, managing director, CBRE Portland. “His market knowledge, long-standing client relationships, and experience advising on institutional transactions will strengthen our ability to deliver results for investors across the region.” CBRE’s Pacific Northwest multifamily investment team advises investors on acquisitions, dispositions, and recapitalizations across Oregon and Washington.
