Caydon Unveils Midtown Luxury Apartment Details

Caydon Property Group, which is planning one of the first luxury apartment developments in Houston’s Midtown submarket, shared more details about the project, appropriately named The Midtown. The 27-story, 357-unit apartment tower will cost $200 million to build, and will go north on a 1.2-acre site at 2850 Fannin St. Caydon has begun dirt work on the site, which housed the former Mental Health and Mental Retardation Authority of Harris County building.

Caydon, headquartered in Melbourne, Australia, indicated it hopes to start construction on The Midtown – which is also its first U.S. project – later this year. Hoar Construction of Birmingham, AL is the general contractor on the project, which is expected to deliver in 2019. Ziegler Cooper Architects is the architect.
