Caydon Continues Midtown Houston Property Focus
Australian developer Caydon acquired another site in Midtown Houston. The property at 2711 Main, currently occupied by Art Supply on Main, will eventually support a mixed-use development close to its residential 2850 Fannin Street. The buy follows on the heels of its August 2017 acquisition of a 41,000-square-foot lot adjacent to the Greensheet building at 1000 McGowen.
Caydon’s Joe Russo noted that he sees continued potential in Houston. “It’s a phenomenal accomplishment for us to secure the third parcel, which brings us one step closer to delivering an exciting mixed-use district in one of Houston’s most lively neighborhoods,” he added.
The developer broke ground in November 2017 on the 357-unit Midtown, a $200-million luxury apartment complex at 2850 Fannin St., which will anchor the eventual mixed-use project.
