Chang Chun AZ building $300M plant in Casa Grande

Casa Grande Lands Semiconductor Plating Manufacturer

Chang Chun Arizona, a leading petrochemical supplier based in Taiwan, started work on its first U.S. manufacturing facility in Casa Grande, Arizona. The facility is expected to be operational in 2023 and create over 200 jobs. Representing a $300 million investment, the facility located in Casa Grande will produce electronic-grade hydrogen peroxide, along with other chemicals crucial to the plating process. Plating is one of the last steps in the semiconductor manufacturing process. It serves as a protective shell and interactive layer between the semiconductor’s internal circuits and the outside world.

Arizona Governor Doug Ducey touted the states newest resident, “Chang Chun Arizona represents yet another Taiwan-based semiconductor leader putting down roots in our state and adding to our vibrant advanced manufacturing landscape.”

Arizona is becoming a leader in the semi-conductor industry. Intel has announced a $20 billion expansion in Chandler, and Taiwan Semiconductor is making a $12 billion investment in Phoenix.
