
Cary Westin Promoted to El Paso Deputy City Manager
Cary Westin, who served as managing director of the city of El Paso’s Economic and International Development Department for more than two years, has been promoted to deputy city manager for economic development and tourism.
In his new position, Westin will be responsible for seven city departments, including economic development. Also under his direction will be El Paso International Airport, Community and Human Development, Destination El Paso and International Bridges. He is one of two deputy city managers.
Jessica Herrera, assistant director of economic development, was named interim department director. City officials are currently looking for a new director.
