Carter Breaks Ground on 306-Unit Summerhill MF Project

Developer Carter, in partnership with King & Company and Healey Weatherholtz Properties, has broken ground on a 306-unit multifamily project in Atlanta’s Summerhill neighborhood. The full development will include 8,000 square feet of ground-level retail, and is slated to open by fall 2021.

The five-story multifamily property will include a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, as well as six live-work units. Of the one- and two-bedroom residences available, 31 will be reserved for those earning 80% of the area median income. Amenities will include a pool, multiple seating areas, grilling stations, a fire pit, a dog park and a pet grooming station as well as a fitness center with a yoga and spin room.

“This groundbreaking marks another milestone in Summerhill’s growth story, and we’re excited to bring new homes to this dynamic and diverse neighborhood,” said Jerome Hagley, executive vice president at Carter. “We remain committed to investing in Atlanta’s Southside, and look forward to delivering a place that reflects the character of the historic architecture and the strong sense of community felt in Summerhill.”
