Carr Properties Acquires 250K-SF Alexandria MF Property 

Carr Properties has acquired 901 N. Pitt Street in Alexandria, VA, aiming to transform the site into a 250,000-square-foot multifamily property with 234 rental units, including affordable housing. The project will feature underground parking, outdoor areas, a performing arts venue, and ground-floor retail space.  

“Old Town is a highly sought after market in the DC-area, characterized by its exceptional walkability, historic neighborhood character, vibrant restaurant scene, and proximity to desirable business and entertainment hubs,” said Oliver Carr, CEO at Carr Properties.  

Situated near Potomac Yards and future developments like Amazon HQ2.  The new development, designed by SK+I Architecture and Edit Lab by Streetsense, will prioritize sustainability and offer amenities like an outdoor pool. CityDance will occupy the performing arts venue. Construction is set to begin in fall 2026.
