Carousel Mall Getting Redeveloped
San Bernardino’s Carousel Mall will soon have a new existence, if developers have their way.
The San Bernardino City Council recently approved negotiating rights for two developers to totally renovate the shopping center. Part of the faded mall’s redo is to include stores, restaurants, single-family homes and offices.
Carousel Mall, which was built in 1972, was formerly known as Central City Mall. The Fransen Company, in partnership with AECOM, will be redeveloping the property.
