Carly Tripp Named U.S. Chief Investment Officer at Nuveen
New York-based Nuveen Real Estate named Carly Tripp as Chief Investment Officer for its U.S. investment portfolio, reporting to Chris McGibbon, Nuveen’s Head of U.S. Real Estate. Tripp is responsible for overall investment strategy, acquisitions, dispositions, asset management and financings.
Previously, she served as Managing Director and Global Head of Real Estate and Alternatives for the TIAA General Account, where she focused on directing investment strategy for its global multi-asset class alternative portfolio, including a roughly $40-billion real estate program. Earlier in her career, Tripp was a member of TIAA’s Global Real Estate team, helping to oversee the TIAA Real Estate Account. She began her investing career as LaSalle Investment Management.
“We are delighted to welcome Carly back to our real estate team,” said McGibbon. “Our U.S. business continues to expand as we leverage our platform into new strategies and sub-sectors.”
Tripp will also chair the Americas Investment Committee and have end-to-end responsibility for all investment activity across the Americas.
