Carlson Construction Completes $13M Affordable Housing Project in Alexandria

Carlson Construction has completed work on Lineage at North Patrick Street, a 52-unit affordable housing development located in Alexandria.

The project consists of one, two, and three bedroom apartments with 6-foot tall windows overlooking Old Town Alexandria. The project was developed by the Alexandria Redevelopment Housing Authority and designed by KTGY. Lineage is a redevelopment of Ramsey Homes, which was public housing for the military during World War II. The new apartments range 323 to 1,301 square feet. Amenities include a washer and drier, hardwood-style flooring, and on-site underground parking. The community was dedicated to residents that make 30 to 60 percent of the area’s median income.

The two-acre former public housing site was financed utilizing 9% LIHTC.
