Car Dealerships Drawn to Southwest Vegas

Car dealerships are coming to southwest Las Vegas in droves. During the past couple of years, the Desert 215 Superstore (which sells Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep makes and models) opened, as did Gaudin Porsche, ABC Hyundai and Tesla Motors. Many of the dealerships are clustered south of the 215 Beltway, between Rainbow and Jones Boulevards.

According to Findlay Automotive Group’s Tyler Corder, some of the reasons why the southwest is attractive for dealers is because there is plenty of land for new development, and the Beltway provides easy access. Additionally, southwest Vegas is growing, with new housing developments, warehouses and retail plazas.

Those shopping for cars aren’t constrained by geography, and won’t always buy from a dealer close to home, Corder said. But car work or repairs are more geographically sensitive, he added.
