Capstone Begins Work on $33M Atlanta TOD

Capstone Building Corp. has launched construction on apartment units on Atlanta’s east side. The $33 million, five-story project will offer 224 apartments and a parking deck at the Edgewood-Candler Park station on Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority’s (MARTA) Blue line. The station is at 1450 La Franc St.

The apartments, scheduled for completion in January 2018, are phase one in a transit-oriented plan to redevelop under-utilized parking space at the station. Upon completion, the mixed-use project will have residential, retail, restaurant and office space. MARTA is leasing the land to developers interested in promoting use of the transportation system.
