Capital markets debt and structured finance veteran Bill Fishel, formerly of JLL, has joined Newmark in Los Angeles

Capital Markets Veteran Bill Fishel Comes to Newmark

Capital markets debt and structured finance veteran Bill Fishel has joined Newmark as executive vice chairman. Fishel specializes in raising debt and equity capital for institutional-grade assets and developments across North America, with a particular focus on structured finance.  

In his 14-year career, Fishel has successfully executed more than $15 billion in financing for a wide range of asset classes. His expertise spans permanent, bridge, construction, mezzanine and joint venture equity financing. 

Fishel is based in Los Angeles at Newmark’s Century City office. He will contribute to the ongoing growth of its Debt, Equity and Structured Finance group and services working alongside debt professionals Ramsey Daya and David Milestone and co-head of U.S. capital markets Kevin Shannon. 

Before joining Newmark, Fishel served as a senior managing director and co-head of the Los Angeles office of JLL, where he was a member of the firm’s Expanded Executive Committee for Capital Markets.

Paul Bubny serves as Senior Content Director for Connect Commercial Real Estate, a role to which he brings 16-plus years’ experience covering the commercial real estate industry and 30-plus years in business-to-business journalism. His tenure in B2B publishing stretches back into the print era, and he has served as Editor in Chief on four national trade publications. Since 1999, Paul has volunteered as the newsletter editor of passenger rail advocacy groups (one national, one local).
