Canal Station Development Reimagining the Old Post Office District

The Telos Group, Chicago’s only dedicated owner representation firm, has been buying and redeveloping historic properties throughout the Southwest Loop to make it the go-to destination for professionals to live, work, dine, and shop.

Their newest addition to the Old Post Office District neighborhood is Canal Station, a five-story, 683,000-square-foot luxury office building that will feature an outdoor terrace, a fitness center, a shared lounge, and a completely renovated lobby. The former single-tenant office building is next to the newly renovated Old Post Office and stretches almost a full city block.

Centrally located in the heart of Chicago’s West Loop Central Business District, Canal Station is situated along the iconic Chicago River to the east. The entire Old Post Office District is undergoing updates, and the historic 12-story art deco structure totals 2.5 million square feet of office-lead mixed-use development. The building underwent a recent $800 million renovation, restoring the building’s limestone façade, replacing 2,200 windows, and installing brand-new state-of-the-art utilities.
