Canadian Investment Fund Grows Austin Footprint
Canadian-based Ivanhoe Cambridge is building a 160,000 square foot office and retail building in downtown Austin. The building, to be called 1121 at Symphony Square, will include 6,000 square feet for a restaurant and ground floor retail. Tenants will be able to link to the adjacent Waller residential tower next door via a fifth story bridge. The Waller Tower is currently under construction.
Ivanhoe Cambridge is partnering with Greystar Real Estate Partners on 1121, which will rise seven stories high.
The project is located in the middle of the Austin Innovation District across the street from Waterloo Park and Moody Amphitheater.
Ivanhoe Cambridge recently joined forces with Hines Interests Limited Partnership on a 47-story office tower in downtown Houston that opened late last year.
Ivanhoe Cambridge has interests in over 1,000 buildings in the residential, office, retail and industrial sectors around the world.
