Camp Pickle to open in Denver

Camp Pickle On Way to Denver’s Fox Park

The pickleball craze is in full bloom in Colorado. Punch Bowl Social founder Robert Thompson plans to open his newest venture, Camp Pickle, in Globeville’s Fox Park development in 2025. Camp Pickle will include as many as 15 pickleball courts for fans of the sport to play on, as well as food, beverages and other entertainment options for guests.

Fox Park, a 41-acre development located at 4400 Fox St. will eventually bring 6 million square feet of residential and commercial space, in addition to 14 acres of open space and parks. World Trade Center Denver’s office will anchor the project, along with a Virgin Hotel.

The new Camp Pickle will feature 100,000 square feet of outdoor space and 60,000 square feet of indoor space. Most of the pickleball courts — which Thompson estimates will be a total of 14 or 15 — will be indoor, and the outdoor space will be for eating, relaxing and utilizing as concert or event space. Thompson says he’s looking at opening three more in Denver.
