Cambridge Charter School Acquires Matignon Campus from Archdiocese

Colliers arranged the sale of the Cambridge Matignon School campus to Benjamin Banneker Charter Public School. Located at 1 Matignon Rd. in Cambridge, the 83,136-square-foot property in Cambridge, Massachusetts stretches across 7.8 acres, including playing fields, science labs, an auditorium and a gymnasium. A Colliers team led by vice chair James Elcock and VP John Real represented the sellers, the Archdiocese of Boston.

The sale of the Cambridge Matignon School campus marks the transition for the longstanding institution, known for its educational excellence and commitment to the local community. Benjamin Banneker Charter Public School, founded in 2012, is a public charter school in Cambridge, serving students from kindergarten through 8th grade.

“Cambridge remains one of the top destinations for educational institutions, due to its rich academic heritage and vibrant community,” said Real. “This property, with its prime location and valuable amenities, was perfectly suited to remain as a school as its strategic position is in a high-demand area.”
