Cambridge Associates Plans 2023 Move to Winthrop Center with 115K-SF Lease

Investment firm Cambridge Associates will move its global headquarters to Boston’s Winthrop Center in spring 2023. Company employees will occupy 115,000 square feet of the 691-foot, mixed-use tower currently in development.

Winthrop Center developer MP Boston, the local arm of Millennium Partners, will deliver 812,000 square feet of Global Class A office space and 510,000 square feet of residential space, including 321 luxury residences. The office portion of Winthrop Center seeks to contribute to Boston’s long-term carbon reduction goals through construction to Passive House Institute standards.

According to MP Boston, the property is on track to become the world’s largest office building to seek PHI certification. Winthrop Center will use 150% less energy than the average office building in Boston, and 60% less energy than existing LEED Platinum buildings. The office building will eliminate heating and cooling inefficiencies by incorporating a well-insulated facade, an air-tight exterior envelope and an advanced energy recovery ventilation system.

About Lisa McDuffie

Lisa McDuffie arrives at ConnectCRE via REALTOR® world, where she served for nearly two decades as communications director for one of the nation’s largest REALTOR® organizations. She supported two membership-elected presidents who were commercial real estate practitioners, and managed the communications initiatives of the organization’s commercial special interest group. When not following the latest commercial real estate news, Lisa is zeroed in on her charismatic off-the-track thoroughbred as she makes the transition from an utterly failed racehorse to a lovely show hunter.
