Cambria Hotel Coming to Austin

Choice Hotels International Inc. signed an agreement with Cloud Nine Hospitality LLC to develop a 134-key Cambria hotel at East Ben White Boulevard and East Riverside Drive in Austin. Cambria Hotel Austin Airport is expected to open in 2019, and will be the first Cambria-branded asset in Austin.

The property will also have meeting space, a fitness center and an outdoor pool and spa. In addition, Cambria Hotel Austin Airport will offer onsite dining.

“Austin is one of the fastest growing cities in the U.S. and an ideal market for the Cambria brand,” said Choice Hotel’s Mark Shalala. “As part of our aggressive growth strategy, we’ve been targeting both state capital and large university markets, and Austin benefits from being both.” He added that the Cambria brand is open in Plano, Southlake and McAllen, TX, with two more projects under construction in downtown Dallas and Richardson, TX.
